Student Competition Winners
One of our goals for the 2010 Hawaii STEM Conference was to encourage as many participants as possible from all EAST Labs across the islands. To accomplish this, we’re hosting a number of student-centered competitions before and during the Conference.
There were lots of benefits to entering these competitions.
- The winning EAST Labs received well-deserved recognition from their peers, school and community.
- Entering and winning a regional tech competition looks good on a student’s resumé, especially on college applications.
- Competing increases self-confidence.
- Competitions can garner administration support and funding.
- Competitions provide a positive challenge.
- Competitions increase experience and growth.
- Deadlines help develop organization skills and provide “real-world” experience.
- Winners get COOL PRIZES and bragging rights.
Congratulations to the Competition Winners!
